Hook up amp gauge
I have heard that these gauges can be somewhat dangerous so I thought I would check with you guys first. They've both been there for about 14 years,so when should I expect my car to go up in smoke? I don't know how accurate they are, but I don't see why someone can't build an ammeter with one of those clip-on type sensors. Stand in front of the car and lift up the hood.
Attach the black wire from the volt gauge harness to an engine ground. Crimp a wire terminal onto the end of the red wire coming from your amp gauge.
Your ammeter indicator should read negative. Using a three wire connector, crimp that wire to the lighting wire. Remove the memory saver.
